My mother, who is a designer & professional pattern maker, started her career with Elna 36 years ago, where she trained staff and buyers to use sewing machines, her love for the industry expanded to her own clothing business producing masses of school clothes and pyjamas. Growing up with materials and textiles as part of our household, it was always a part of me.

With my mother’s experience in textile weaving and my passion for beautiful things, Tulips & Tea, the Home of Trendy Textiles, was born at the beginning of 2017. We started with a single range, the Tulips & Tea Baby Wrap Carrier, and we’re proud to say that our baby wrap carrier has been a favourite since launch. The quality speaks for itself.

We are proud to proclaim that we have succeeded to put more baby products, of outstanding quality, on the market. Each item you purchase is individually handmade, finished off with a unique leather touch for that luxurious ‘look and feel’.

I am proudly South African and what makes me even more proud is that our cotton for our baby wraps gets knitted locally in the heart of Cape Town!
